END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT CastlePaste v1.02 Copyright 2001 Castle Software Ltd All Rights Reserved This End User License Agreement accompanies the CastlePaste and CastlePaste PRO software products and related explanatory materials ("Software"). The term "Software" shall also include any upgrades, modified versions, updates, additions and copies of the Software licensed to you by Castle Software Ltd. "You" means the person or company who is being licensed to use the Software or Documentation. "We" and "us" means Castle Software Ltd. There are two versions of CastlePaste. One is distributed as freeware and the other as shareware. When referring to the free version, it shall be called "CastePaste". When referring to the shareware version, it shall be called "CastlePaste PRO". Please read the terms of this license agreement carefully before installing or using this software. This End User License Agreement (the Agreement) is a legal agreement between you (Licensee), the end-user and Castle Software Ltd and by using this software or storing this software on a computer hard drive (or other media), you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. At the end of this 30-day evaluation period you must immediately discontinue use of the Software or purchase a license from Castle Software Ltd (See How to Purchase for details on purchasing a license for the registered version of the software). When payment is received you will be sent a license key to unlock CastlePaste PRO. Unregistered use of CastlePaste PRO after the 30-day evaluation period is in violation of international copyright laws and treaties. The cost of the Software has been kept low and you can easily register it on-line, or by mail. FREE VERSION A free version of CastlePaste is distributed completely independently of the shareware version (CastlePaste PRO). The free product (CastlePaste) and the shareware product (CastlePaste PRO) are separate and independent applications. You are encouraged to distribute the free version to any or all of your friends and associates. LICENSE GRANT FOR REGISTERED VERSION Upon payment of the registration fee and your acceptance of this Agreement, Castle Software Ltd grants you a nonexclusive license to use one copy of the Software on any single computer, provided the Software is in use on only one computer at any time. The Software is "in use" on a computer when it is loaded into temporary memory (RAM) or installed into the permanent memory of a computer--for example, a hard disk, CD-ROM or other storage device. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE YOU LICENSED TO DISTRIBUTE THE REGISTERED VERSION OF CastlePaste PRO OR TO DISTRIBUTE LICENSE KEY FILES OR REGISTRATION DETAILS BY ANY MEANS. ARCHIVAL OR BACKUP COPIES You may make one copy of the software solely for backup or archival purposes or transfer the software to a single hard disk drive, provided that you keep the original software program and accompanying documentation in your possession, solely for backup or archival purposes. TRANSFERS You may transfer all your rights to use the Software and Documentation to another person or legal entity provided you transfer this Agreement, the Software and Documentation, including all copies, updates and prior versions to such person or entity and that you retain no copies, including copies stored on computer. Upon such a transfer, the previous owner of the end user license agrees that his rights to such license are terminated and that he will immediately discontinue using the Software. DISTRIBUTION Only the shareware version of CastlePaste PRO may be freely distributed, provided that you follow the following conditions. Distribution or lending of registered versions of CastlePaste PRO or any registration details is strictly prohibited and in violation of international copyright laws. Provided that you verify that you are distributing the Shareware Version you are hereby licensed to make as many copies of the Shareware version of this software and documentation as you wish; give exact copies of the original Shareware version to anyone; and distribute the software and documentation in its unmodified form via electronic means. There is no charge for any of the above. The shareware version of CastlePaste PRO can be obtained from the Castle Software Ltd web site (http://www.castlesoft.co.nz). You are specifically prohibited from charging, or requesting donations, for any such copies, however made; and from distributing the software and/or documentation with other products (commercial or otherwise) without prior written permission, with one exception: Magazines or other press publishing companies that may include free CD-ROMs with their publications are permitted to redistribute a shareware version of CastlePaste PRO subject to the conditions in this license, without specific written permission.
